If you are
interested in acquiring a kitten or young adult cat from Meadowpurrs, please

We are looking for loving "forever" homes for our kittens and adults
cats which is why we prefer to place the majority of our kittens and
retired breeder in pet homes. However, we
will occasionally consider placing a kitty in a breeder/show home after
discussing your cattery and breeding plans with you.
A non-refundable deposit
is required for us to hold a kitten for you until it is ready for
adoption. Kittens must be paid
in full via certified bank check prior to shipping or pick up.
Prices
vary depending whether you have chosen pet, breeder, show quality.
PETS:
Most pet kittens will be neutered or
spayed before leaving Meadowpurrs. If sold as an unaltered pet kitty,
registration papers are held until proof of altering is received from your
licensed veterinarian.
BREEDER/SHOW
CATS: Please call for price quotes
and to discuss your interest in a Breeder and/or Show cat. I prefer to sell
the kittens as pets, but will occasionally consider selling a breeder if,
after many conversations, it is determined that the kitten will be well
cared for in your breeding program. Likewise, I am willing to work with new
breeders if I am confident that your breeding program will be based on what
is best for the individual cats and the breed. You must have, or be willing
to establish, a CFA Cattery Name and all cats/kittens must be registered
with CFA.
YOUNG
ADULT CATS: Ex-breeders and/or
ex-show cats are sometimes available at a drastically reduced price to
select homes. Please inquire if interested.
HEALTH
GUARANTEE:
You
can be assured that you will be purchasing a healthy "baby" from Meadowpurrs.
You will be provided with the name of our veterinarian who will examine the kitten/cat before adoption. All of our adult cats are radiologist
scanned and DNA tested for PKD. They must be certified as PKD negative prior to breeding.
Kittens
are guaranteed to be healthy at the time of sale. Each kitten is examined
by our veterinarian before being released to the new owner. You have 72
hours to have the kitten examined by your own veterinarian. This is to
ensure that we both agree that you have received a healthy kitten. We
further guarantee the kitten to be free of any fatal genetic defect.
SALE
CONTRACT:
You will be required to sign a sale contract. Contracts vary based on
whether the kitten was purchased as a pet, breeder, or show cat.
DECLAWING:
Our sale contract forbids declawing of any of our kittens or cats. To

SHIPPING:
I prefer that you come and visit our home and pick up your kitten. This
gives you an opportunity to see the baby’s first home and to personally
discuss with us any questions or concerns you may have regarding our
cattery and your kitten. Of course, the trip home is easier on the kitten
if it is in your car rather than a noisy airplane. However, I realize that
sometimes it may be necessary for a kitten to be shipped to you. If the
kitten must be shipped, we will need to locate a direct non-stop
flight. Air fare and related shipping expenses are the
responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the price of the
kitten.
