Born Martha Matthew MacCallum on January 31, 1964, in Buffalo, New York, Martha comes from a well-educated family. Her father, Douglas C. MacCallum (1902-2000), was a stockbroker at G.H. Walker and Company and vice-president of Prudential Securities.

While on the other hand, Martha’s mother, Elizabeth B. MacCallum (1934-2013), was a teacher taught in a public elementary in Wykoff, New Jersey, and Lake Forest, Illinois.
